Your Support Helps Families Forget Cancer, Just for One Day
It was much longer than we were anticipating, but after 18 months of not being able to visit homes or send families out for Great Day experiences, in June of this year, we finally got back to doing what we do best.
During the pandemic, we were still sending out care packages, mailing gift cards, and even hosting an outdoor block party or two, but on June 5, 2021, we held our first volunteer event since November 16, 2019.
Below are photo albums from the Great Days that we provided in 2021, thanks to you!
Making a financial donation, volunteering your time, or even just telling someone you know about The December 5th Fund helps make these days possible. When you support our efforts, you’re giving a day filled with joy and laughter to families burdened by the daily struggles of cancer. You’re giving them a day where they don’t have to think about treatments. Then, they get to come home from their day together and not have to worry about those projects and tasks that have been piling up.
This certainly isn’t everything that we’ve done this year, but it gives you a window into how this community continues to come together for cancer patients and their families through our work at The December 5th Fund.
